LG has launched its Tone Free HBS-FN7 true wireless earphones and one can already buy it in the company’s home market of South Korea. The main highlight of this TWS is, it features active noise cancellation, and there is also another interesting feature in it. The charging case of the earphones possesses LG’s UVnano technology which emits UV rays to kill the bacteria on the earphones and sanitizes it. Let’s see what are specifications this latest HBS-FN7 has for us. The HBS-FN4 and HBS-FN6 are the predecessors of it and made their entry earlier this year.
The LG Tone Free HBS-FN7 has active noise cancellation, which is the key feature of this device. This device uses a three-microphone system in each earpiece which is able to hear the external noise and cancel it out. The sound tuning is done by Meridian Audio. Regarding the battery backup, the HBS-FN7 claims a battery life of five hours on the earpieces. There is a total of 15 hours with the case with ANC on. The Bluetooth version used by the device is the latest 5.1. It comes with support for the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. The earphones are available in Glossy White and Matte Black color variants.
Another key feature of this device is the UV emission by the charging case to sanitize the earpieces. The charging case of the earphones possesses LG’s UVnano technology which emits UV rays to kill the bacteria on the earphones and sanitizes it. The company claims that with the help of this technology, the UV rays from the charging case kills almost 99.9% of bacteria. In this era of COVID-19, it is undoubtedly a great invention. For dust and water resistance, the earphones carry an IPXS rating. The charging case supports wireless charging as well.
Coming to the pricing and availability, the earphones are already available at a price tag of KRW 219,000 (roughly Rs. 14,300) outside South Korea. The company has already confirmed that the LG Tone Free HBS-FN7 is all set to launch in key markets of North America, Europe, and Asia pretty soon.
