Following the announcement of showcasing its cutting-edge OLED innovations at CES 2024, LG Electronics has introduced the groundbreaking LG Signature OLED T, the world’s first wireless transparent TV. This television boasts a glass display that seemingly vanishes when turned off, utilizing transparent OLED technology along with wireless AV transmission and reception. LG envisions a screen that allows viewers to “see beyond the screen” and eliminates the need for visible wires, providing a seamless and immersive visual experience.
The All New LG Signature OLED T
The LG Signature OLED T employs self-lit pixel technology, ensuring superior picture quality with a remarkable 4K resolution. The TV introduces two distinct modes: transparent and black. In transparent mode, viewers can enjoy content overlaid on what’s behind the screen, creating a unique visual experience. Alternatively, users can switch to the traditional black mode with a simple click on the remote control.
Key features of the LG Signature OLED T include an upgraded AI processor, the Alpha 11, running LG Electronics’ webOS smart TV operating system. LG emphasizes a substantial performance boost, with the Alpha 11 processor delivering four times the capabilities of its predecessor. This includes a remarkable 70% increase in graphics performance and a 30% boost in processing speeds. The Alpha 11 processor enhances picture quality by analyzing footage, performing color correction, and synchronizing it with spatial sound.
The OLED T also incorporates down-firing speakers for an immersive audio experience. LG offers the TV in three configurations: standalone, against-the-wall, and wall-mounted options. Additionally, the TV comes with the innovative Zero Connect Box, facilitating wireless video and audio transmission. This box serves as a hub for connecting streaming devices and game consoles, further contributing to the TV’s wire-free aesthetic.
LG Electronics has confirmed that the LG Signature OLED T is set to hit the global market later this year, marking a significant leap forward in television technology. The TV’s combination of transparent OLED innovation, wireless connectivity, and advanced processing capabilities is poised to redefine the viewing experience for consumers worldwide.
