The upgraded AI processors in the new models are anticipated to deliver a four-fold increase in AI performance, featuring enhanced AI upscaling and AI Sound Pro. The LG SIGNATURE OLED M4 and LG OLED G4 TVs are equipped with the new α (Alpha) 11 AI processor, boasting a 70% improvement in graphic performance and a 30% faster processing speed compared to their predecessor.
In terms of video and audio enhancements, LG has introduced features like AI upscaling and AI Picture Pro. AI upscaling utilizes precise pixel-level image analysis to sharpen objects and backgrounds that may appear blurry. The AI processor refines colors by analyzing frequently used shades, enhancing the mood and emotional elements intended by filmmakers and content creators.
Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro enhances details through precise HDR optimization, delivering a 3D-quality visual experience. AI Sound Pro offers virtual 11.1.2 surround sound from the built-in speakers. LG SIGNATURE OLED M4, succeeding the M3 model, now comes in a 65″ variant in addition to a 97″ model. It is touted as the world’s first TV with wireless video and audio transmission at up to 4K 144Hz, providing superior OLED performance with accurate details and an immersive experience.
LG’s latest OLED Evo models have obtained the Video Electronics Standards Association’s (VESA) ClearMR certification, ensuring razor-sharp picture quality. These models feature gaming advantages such as a 4K 144Hz refresh rate and comprehensive HDMI 2.1 features. The TVs also include Game Optimizer, allowing gamers to switch between display presets designed for different gaming genres, and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync for a seamless gaming experience.
On the software front, the new models feature a webOS program that promises up to 5 years of OS updates. They offer up to 10 individual profiles, Apple AirPlay, and Chromecast support, along with accessibility features like dedicated menu settings, sign language avatars, and remote control tutorials. The pricing and availability of the latest OLED TV models will be disclosed at the time of launch. LG will showcase these models at CES 2024 from January 9-12.
