Chelsea centre-back Levi Colwill is set to attract bids from some of the top clubs in the Premier League and Europe in the summer. The player is currently on loan at Championship club Huddersfield Town, and has enjoyed a very impressive spell with them.
As a result, he is being watched by rivals for a potential swoop at the end of the season. The 19-year-old has received a lot of praise for his stature and composure at the back, which has helped Huddersfield Town stay in the race for the Championship playoffs.
Levi Colwill could secure move away from Chelsea in the summer
The young defender will be returning to Stamford Bridge when his loan deal with Huddersfield expires at the end of the season. He has a contract with the Blues until June 2025, and could end up being a part of the first team too.
With Andreas Christensen leaving the club at the end of the season, Chelsea will need a solid replacement at the back. And a fellow Cobham academy graduate like Levi Colwill could be the perfect solution for Thomas Tuchel, without having to spend on bringing talents from abroad.
Antonio Rudiger’s contract has not been renewed either, and though the German international would want to continue with Chelsea, he will first need to agree a new deal with the club. Alongside Connor Gallagher, Colwill could be one of the loanees integrated into the team next year.
