What makes *Sitting Bull* stand out from the usual historical documentary fare is its deep commitment to authenticity. The production partnered with IllumiNative and the Creative Native Network to ensure Lakota involvement in every aspect of the project — both in front of and behind the camera.

The series covers pivotal chapters in American history, including the Battle of Little Bighorn, Sitting Bull’s time in Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show, and his final stand to preserve the Lakota way of life.
