MLS club Inter Miami are expected to sign Leonardo Campana on a permanent deal in the coming days. He has been on loan in the MLS since last year’s January, and has had a very impressive time in America.
Now, there are conversations surrounding him making his move from Wolves permanent. According to several reports, he is expected to be the young designated player for Inter Miami with a buy clause worth $2.7 million in place.
Leonardo Campana to join Inter Miami permanently
The striker scored 13 goals in 28 appearances since joining the club on loan, which is a good return. There were also talks that he could return to Wolves amidst their troubles in attack. However, there are doubts as to whether he will be able to perform at the level required in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old was signed in 2020 by Wolves on a three-year deal. However, he was loaned out to Farmalicao and Grasshopper shortly after before moving to Inter Miami.
And it seems like Leonardo Campana will be leaving without ever wearing the club’s shirt in a competitive match.
Inter Miami are also increasingly confident of signing Lionel Messi on a free transfer after the 2022 World Cup, with an agreement expected soon.
