Lenovo Yoga laptops are one of the best-selling line-ups of the company. Stated to be top quality products by the manufacturer, the company firmly believes that the upcoming models will significantly contribute towards the company.

In recent reports, the PC manufacturer has posted a teaser image on its Weibo accounts to announce the 2021 Yoga 5G convertible. According to sources, the machine will feature the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform from Qualcomm. In the promo, the company has highlighted the chipset more rather than the laptop itself.

But reports suggest that the laptop will be a thin and light model and will only weigh 1.35 kg (2.98 lbs) along with a 60 Wh battery.

For the buyers looking for a lightweight laptop with a powerful mobile processor, the Lenovo Yoga 5G certainly looks like a viable option. The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G platform can utilise the new and powerful 5G technology, which is rare even in high-end laptops.

The company reports that buyers in China will be the first to utilize the machine’s network capabilities, as they will get a free 5G package included with the purchase. Last year we saw Lenovo Yoga 5G 2020, powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 1 platform.

The laptop failed to impress in many ways, but its successor, the 2021 Lenovo Yoga 5G, powered by the 2nd generation Snapdragon 8cx seems extremely promising. It can offer improved battery life over laptops using rival SoCs, and it features enhanced security features. The newer chipset also supports Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi 6.
