Lenovo has launched an entire range of new ThinkPad laptops and also updated its budget-oriented L-series of laptops along with its new T series. The new Lenovo ThinkPad L14 will replace last year’s Lenovo ThinkPad L490 and the L15 will replace the L590.
The new budget enterprise series doesn’t look that much premium as it’s targeted towards enterprise, government and education users. This is the first time ever in the history of the ThinkPad L series, that both ThinkPad L14 and L15 will feature AMD CPUs in the form of the new AMD Ryzen Pro 4000 line of processors.
All the 2020 models of ThinkPad series will include the 10th Gen Intel Comet Lake processors with vPro. All of the laptops come with Wi-Fi 6 support along with 64GB DDR4 RAM support and 1TB PCIe SSD storage. You get support for FHD IPS On-Cell touch displays with 300nits of peak brightness.
Although the L-series also offers the same business options including LTE support, mechanical docking and smartcard reader) as the more expensive T series but coming in a less expensive plastic package and being a bit thicker.
Both the Intel and Ryzen variants offer up to 11 hours of battery life which is quite impressive. Then you get Windows 10 Pro pre-installed along with Backlit keyboard and up to HD+ IR webcam support.
Also, the laptops have optional CAT 9 WWAN capabilities, rapid access unified communications functions keys, on-cell touch displays, fingerprint reader support with Windows Hello, Dolby Audio, RapidCharge support and much more.
Both the Lenovo ThinkPad L14 and ThinkPad L15 will be available in the second quarter of 2020 along with the other ThinkPad laptops along with a starting price of $649 (Approx. Rs.46,532) which indeed is cheap, thanks to AMD.
