In the run-up to CES 2024, Lenovo has announced a new range of laptops for both business and consumer use. These laptops, which include the ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1, and IdeaPad Pro 5i, are designed to boost productivity, creativity, and efficiency using advanced AI technologies.

Lenovo Unlocks New AI PC Experiences with ThinkPad and IdeaPad Laptops Powered by Intel Core Ultra Processors

These laptops are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors and Windows 11, making them part of the Intel Evo platform. They are designed to provide optimal power efficiency, performance, and immersive experiences. With dedicated AI acceleration support, users can enjoy new experiences and enhanced efficiency in both work and leisure activities, including capabilities enabled by Copilot in Windows.

The Lenovo laptops, equipped with three compute engines – CPU, GPU, and NPU – handle AI PC tasks efficiently, improving performance and power management. They support software applications like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Studio Effects, and Adobe® Lightroom. Users can benefit from features such as text predictions, background blur, meeting transcripts, and summary emails to improve productivity, while digital content tools maximize creativity without impacting system performance.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 and IdeaPad Pro 5i are designed with user-centric innovations for better device interaction. They feature a larger 120mm TrackPad and a customizable Quick Menu. The ThinkPad X1 also offers an optional glass Haptic TouchPad and a larger magnetic pen for the 2-in-1 variant for enhanced user experience.

The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 come with improved thermals and power consumption management, and computer vision features in Lenovo Commercial Vantage. These laptops also offer a wake-on-approach with face sensing and support adaptive dimming on external monitors for added security and power savings.

In terms of display and camera features, the ThinkPad X1 offers video enhancing tools, including a new Low Light Enhancer and an optional 8MP camera within its unique Communications Bar for excellent video conferencing quality. Users can also enjoy sharper and smoother content viewing on the latest optional 120Hz OLED display. These laptops feature a redesigned chassis with narrower bezels for a higher screen-to-body ratio and easy one-handed opening.

The latest ThinkPad X1 Gen 12 and X1 2-in-1 Gen 9 create a breakthrough moment in premium laptop computing with new AI PC features and customer-centric innovations designed to transform user experiences. Through its focus on constant innovation in design, materials, and usability and strong collaboration with leading industry partners, Lenovo has delivered new business laptops ready to fulfil its promise of AI for All.
