Lenovo Tab K9 and Tab One Spotted on BIS, India Launch Expected Soon

Lenovo is preparing to launch new tablets in India, as spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website. The upcoming devices, identified as the Lenovo Tab K9 and Lenovo Tab One, have now been spotted, carrying the model numbers TB305FU and TB305XU. Previous references to the TB305FU in the Google Play Console database show the tablet appears with the Lenovo Tab K9 / Lenovo Tab One branding.

Both models were also certified by the EEC, indicating an imminent global launch. Tipster on X (previously Twitter) believes the Tab One may be a business-targeted tablet, while the Tab K9 is likely to be a consumer-focused product. The Tab K9 was also found to be listed on the OCN (Open Computer Network) site with ZAF20010JP and ZAF30012JP model numbers.

As per the listing, the Lenovo Tab K9 will sport an 8.7-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1340 x 800 and support for 10-point multi-touch. On the hardware front, it is expected to be backed by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC internal memory. The tablet will measure 9mm thick and will weigh roughly 320g.

Optics-wise, the Lenovo Tab K9 will feature an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera for video calls and selfies. The device will be supported by a 5,100mAh battery, offering 20W wired charging for a faster charge. Other notable features include stereo speakers for an enhanced audio experience and Android 14 as the operating system.

Connectivity options and sensors on the Lenovo Tab K9 will include a microSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, an optical sensor, an acceleration sensor, and a proximity sensor. With multiple certifications in place, an official announcement from Lenovo regarding pricing and availability is expected soon.
