If you own a [Lenovo](https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/) LOQ with an [Intel](https://technosports.co.in/?s=Intel) HX processor and an RTX 40 or 50 Series GPU, this is something you need to know. Reports are piling up across Reddit, Lenovo’s own forums, and Indian tech communities — users are experiencing complete, sudden motherboard failures with zero warning. No error message. No thermal throttling. Just dead. And Lenovo has yet to officially acknowledge the issue even once.

## Lenovo LOQ Motherboard Issue: What We Know

| Detail | Info |
| --- | --- |
| Affected Models | Lenovo LOQ with Intel HX + RTX 40/50 Series |
| Failure Type | Complete motherboard failure, no warning |
| Reported On | Lenovo forums, Reddit, TechEnclave, social media |
| Lenovo’s Official Response | None |
| Most Affected Users | Out-of-warranty owners |
| Claimed Fix (unofficial) | BIOS/firmware update for post-Aug 2024 builds |
| AMD variants | Reportedly fewer board issues |

The pattern is consistent across multiple variants — the motherboard simply stops working, leaving users with an expensive paperweight. Even Lenovo India support has privately acknowledged the problem, confirming that units manufactured after August 2024 have updated BIOS/firmware fixes and chassis tweaks — but this has never been publicly communicated, and it does nothing for the thousands of users already stuck with dead boards.

## Why This Is Bigger Than Just a Hardware Defect

The real issue here isn’t just the failure — it’s the silence. Gaming laptops in the ₹70,000–₹1,00,000+ range are not impulse buys. These are machines students, content creators, and gamers save up for. When a known defect kills the motherboard and the manufacturer refuses to acknowledge it publicly, those out-of-warranty users are left entirely on their own.

Community members on Indian tech forums strongly advise buying extended warranties for any LOQ purchase — which is telling in itself. When the community consensus is “buy a warranty or risk everything,” that’s a red flag Lenovo should be addressing head-on, not ignoring. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 gives Indian buyers the right to seek redressal for defective goods — affected users may want to explore this avenue.
