Lenovo’s top-of-the-line gaming laptop, the Legion Y9000K, with an Intel Alder Lake CPU and RTX 30 GPUs, will be available by the end of this month. The Lenovo Legion Y9000K laptop features two fans and full vapour chamber cooling in addition to the Intel Core i9-12900HX CPU and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti GPU.

The cooling system of the Lenovo Legion Y9000K laptop is unique for a notebook, however, it only has a maximum CPU power rating of 175W TDP and an average TDP of 115W. The GPU will receive a constant cooling power of 175W.

The new Lenovo Legion Y9000K, also known as the Legion 7 16IAX7, will be equipped with the Intel i7-12800HX or i9-12900HX, desktop-grade CPUs that utilize 16 cores over 24 threads. The Intel Core i7-boost 12800HX’s frequency is 4.8 GHz, whereas the i9-boost 12900HX’s clock is 5 GHz. The Intel Core i7-12800HX will make its laptop debut with the new Lenovo model, replacing the i9-12900HX, which has been used in gaming laptops.

The two RTX 30 series versions that are now available on the market are the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3080 Ti. An optional 32GB DDR5-4800 memory module is supported by the laptop’s motherboard, the HM670. The Savior Y9000K can support overclocking up to DDR5-5400 RAM thanks to its two PCIe 4.0 SSD drive capabilities. The battery’s 99Wh capacity is with a 300W AC adapter.

The new Lenovo Legion Y9000K laptop series features a 16-inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, up to 240Hz refresh rates, 500 nits of brightness, a contrast ratio of 1200:1, and a full 100% color gamut. The laptop measures 358.1 x 263.5 x 19.4 mm and weighs 2.33 kg.

Supported ports include two Thunderbolt 4 connections, an HDMI port, an RJ-45 network port, and a USB-C port with 135W charging capacity. Given the specifications, one should plan to pay between US $3,000 and $4,000 for such top-tier laptop systems.
