Leandro Paredes is expected to return to PSG at the end of the season since Juventus are not planning to activate his buy option. The clause inserted in the deal is worth €22 million, and the Bianconeri do not believe that the midfielder is a good fit for them going ahead.

Since joining the Serie A club, he has been quite disappointing and was recently benched for the game against Torino. Enzo Barrenechea of their youth team was handed his debut instead, and gave an impressive performance in the Turin derby as Juventus continued their winning ways.

Leandro Paredes to return to Paris Saint-Germain in June 2023

Max Allegri has made it clear that he only wants to select players that he trusts in the starting line-up. And as things stand, the 2022 World Cup winner has not been convincing enough to earn a regular spot in the XI.

“I am sorry for Paredes, but I take decisions for the team’s good. All those involved must be ready to help their teammates. The pitch does the talking,” Allegri said when asked about the Argentine and his situation in the squad.

The midfield has been quite turbulent for Juventus over the last few seasons, with several players moving in and out of the squad.

It seems unlikely that Leandro Paredes will be given a spot at PSG as well, with the likes of Renato Sanches, Vitinha, Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler all now at the club.
