The latest name to appear as a rumored candidate to play Reed Richards in the Fantastic Four start-up again is House of the Dragon and Doctor Who star Matt Smith.
According to picture scooper Daniel Richtman (per ComicBookMovie.com), Smith remained offered the role of Reed Richards, aka Mister Fantastic, soon before the SAG-AFTRA strike began. The casting development has been put on hold through pre-production on pause in light of the strike, and it’s reportedly unclear if Smith acknowledged the part. Smith, who also had a crucial character in Morbius, is one of many actors rumored to be up for the Reed Richards character in the film, so this information should be taken with a grain of saline. Still, it’s nevertheless making waves previously on social media.
Adam Driver is added actor who’d been rumored for Mister Fantastic. A fresh report claimed that the Star Wars star passed on the project because he couldn’t connect to how the character was written. Some Marvel fans partake also been rooting for John Krasinski to play the part after his appearance in place of a variant in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Still, the actor himself has a group of actors who doubt that possibility. Meanwhile, names like Penn Badgley, besides Dev Patel, have also popped up as rumored actors in disagreement for the part.

As for The Thing, rumored names have included Mila Kunis, then Daveed Diggs, while Austin Butler and Paul Mescal have been rumored for Human Torch. What all of these actors have in common is they have yet to be officially inveterate by Marvel Studios as being up for any of these roles.
