It should be noted that the new laptops’ specifications have not been released by mspoweruser. The 7th Generation of the Legion 5 series, however, will include Intel and AMD CPUs, specifically 12th Gen Core and Ryzen 6000 CPUs.
The new Legion 5 laptops are nearly identical to the previous generation. The most noticeable difference is the absence of a Y-shaped Legion logo on the lid. Lenovo now uses a written version of its gaming trademark, similar to Legion 7, with the exception that the logo is now centred. Unfortunately, Legion 7 is not included in this leak; however, it will most likely be released at a later date.
The Legion 5 Pro series was a popular pick among gamers, thanks to its 16-inch 16:10 165Hz screen, Max-P GeForce RTX 30 graphics, and affordable price/feature ratio. The present model supports RTX 3070 mobile graphics with a TGP of up to 140W, but the revised model could include the more powerful RTX 3070 Ti, which NVIDIA plans to release next year. That, however, has not been confirmed.
In terms of CPUs, Lenovo’s 2022 Legion 5 series is expected to include Intel Core i7-12800H and AMD Ryzen 7 6800H processors, both of which will be unveiled at the CES 2022 press conferences in early January.
The Legion 5 non-Pro series is essentially a Pro with a 15-inch display. The current version comes in three different resolutions: 1920×1080 60Hz, 120Hz, and 144Hz. Due to the low 45 percent NTSC colour gamut coverage, the 120Hz screen does not provide a decent viewing experience.
I hope these legion 5 series hold up the legacy of their predecessors.I hope both intel and and variants of these laptops have free-sync and g-sync when optimus is on and off,I hope advanced optimus switches from integrated GPU to descrete GPU for intel variants without reboot, all have 16:10 aspect ratio and great screens and all these laptops destroy the competition in gaming performance and content creation. Hope to buy one soon.
