There are indications that Realme is delving into periscope lens technology. The forthcoming Realme GT Neo 6 series is speculated to incorporate periscope zoom functionality, a trend that appears to be gaining popularity. Notably, the iPhone 15 Pro Max recently introduced a periscope telephoto lens boasting 5x optical zoom capability. Now, a reliable tipster has suggested that the successor to the Realme 11 Pro+, the Realme 12 Pro+, is expected to incorporate periscope lenses in a manner akin to the Oppo Find X6.
The Leaked Realme 12 Pro+
The Realme 11 Pro+ was launched in May and debuted in India a month later. Conversely, the Oppo Find X6 series made its entrance into the Chinese market in March. Digital Chat Station, a trusted source, indicated through a Weibo post that the purported Realme 12 Pro+ is likely to sport a circular rear camera module housing triple rear camera units, with one of them being a periscope lens. The leak also mentioned that the camera setup is anticipated to resemble that of the Oppo Find X6. Moreover, the Realme 12 Pro+ is expected to introduce popular design elements and features, as suggested by the leak.
The Oppo Find X6 features a Hasselblad-branded triple rear camera system, which includes a primary 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 sensor, a secondary 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 sensor, and an additional 50-megapixel sensor equipped with a 3x periscope optical zoom lens. On the front, it boasts a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor for capturing selfies.
The Oppo Find X6 is equipped with a 6.74-inch OLED display sporting a resolution of 2,772 x 1,240 pixels. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC and has a 4,800mAh battery with support for 80W fast wired charging. Available in a range of colors, including Snow Mountain Gold (gold), Feiquan Green (green), and Star Black (black), the starting price for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is CNY 4,499 (approximately ₹54,100).
