A few months ago, Infinix built a concept phone that supported a 160W fast-charging system, though the device focused primarily on charging, another notable aspect of the device was a 135mm periscope lens that promised up to 60x digital zoom. This was the first time a periscope had made its way into an Infinix device.
Latest reports now reveal that Infinix is working on a periscope-equipped phone that will make it to retail. A source has released two images of the device. From these renders, we get a fair idea of the camera with the periscope lens.
The periscope is on the bottom and going by the markings, it has a focal length of 125mm, which should come out to 5x magnification over the main camera and an f/3.4 aperture.
Those are fairly typical specs for a periscope, but this camera is well above what Infinix has put out so far, it has only a couple of telephoto lenses to its name and those were the 2x.
The main camera is another first for the company’s stable of phones, with a 108MP sensor, it is another big jump in comparison to the previous models, which peaked at 64MP in the Infinix Note 10 Pro.
The High-Resolution sensor should enable high-quality digital zoom to bridge the gap to the periscope, it has Optical Image Stabilization(OIS). Also, there is an ultrawide-angle camera on the back with a 13mm lens.
It is not yet certain as to when we will get to see this device in the market, but since the final renders are being leaked, it may release sooner than we think.
