## **What Makes It Stand Out**

The most distinctive feature is the illuminated pattern surrounding the vertical dual-camera module, which reportedly glows at night—a rare aesthetic touch in the budget segment. The flat plastic frames with no visible antenna lines suggest a seamless, modern design language.

Lava previously launched the Play Ultra in August with the [Dimensity 7300](https://technosports.co.in/?s=Dimensity+7300) chip and AMOLED display, and the Play Max is expected to sit slightly below it in positioning while retaining similar gaming-focused performance capabilities.

The official teaser shows the tagline “Power up your gameplay,” confirming its gaming-centric positioning. With 120Hz refresh rate and MediaTek’s capable gaming processor, the Play Max targets budget-conscious mobile gamers seeking smooth performance without premium pricing.

The launch timing follows closely after the Lava Agni 4 5G release last week, showing the Indian brand’s aggressive product strategy for year-end 2025.
