Lava, an indigenous tech company, seems to be preparing to reintroduce itself to the smartphone market. For the past couple of years, the company has been concentrating solely on smartwatches. This was reported by Sanju Chaudhary, an X user, who found a Lava smartphone, model number LXX513, listed on Geekbench. The device scored 800 on the single-core test and 2100 on the multi-core test. It is run by an octa-core processor with a base speed of 2.00GHz.
The Rumored Lava Smartphone
This would suggest that the phone is driven by MediaTek Dimensity 6300. Aside from that, Sanju Chaudhary discovered another Lava smartphone, model Hero2024, on the BIS website in India. However, this particular model was listed back in March. The Hero series for Lava brand is generally associated with feature phones such as Hero 600+, Hero 600i, and Hero 600.
Since the feature phone department of Lava has been silent lately, the new model listed on Geekbench is unlikely to be linked with the Hero2024 moniker used for BIS. However, the Geekbench platform has recently unveiled the listing for LXX513, and the Indian manufacturer may be preparing to introduce a new smartphone to the market.
The new device may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, which has the performance characteristics suggested by the benchmark scores. However, much remains to learn about the specific smartphone. Overall, Lava’s re-entry into the smartphone market could be a strategic decision to broaden its product range and solidify its position in the Indian tech market.
Both consumers and industry professionals are excited to see what the Lava brand has to offer in terms of novelty and functionality. While the inclusion of the Dimensity 6300 processor suggests that the device can be powerful and lightweight, additional information is needed to evaluate its place in the smartphone market.
