Latest EPL Season (2021-22) Preview, Winner Prediction

The EPL season 2021-22 is up and running and the top teams in the premier league are already fighting to win the league. Those at the bottom of the league are unfortunately struggling to get out of the relegation zone that’s staring at them. Going by the performances of the top five teams that are currently at the top of the table, it is interesting to note that it is going to be a very exciting season campaign. This article takes you through the Premier League Season 2021-22 previews, winner predictions as well as betting updates.

Favorites to win the Premier League 2021-22 season and popular bet markets

At the start of the season, Pep Guardiola’s team, Manchester City, looked all set to defend the title. However, things went south for them when they were unceremoniously humbled by Tottenham Hotspur that saw their odds take a little bit of a dip. Their latest defeat has been to mid table Crystal Palace denying the chance to go up the table to number two.

Chelsea is also another great team to watch out for this season as it has come in the competition with nothing short of clinching the league trophy. As per current standings, they are in the top spot, only losing to Manchester City at their home turf, Stamford Bridge. For those who prefer to bet on the favorites to win the league, Chelsea would be an ideal team to try luck with! Thomas Tuchel has really brought great improvement to the team. It is important to note that they have only conceded just three goals.

Manchester United who are the runners up in the 2020-21 seasons had a great start of the 2021-22 season only to squander the opportunity by losing some crucial points. The first defeat they suffered was against Aston Villa at the Old Trafford, losing by one goal to nil. Their misfortunes in the league this season would later be added by Leicester City who beat them at the King Power Stadium hammering them 4 – 2. However, their worst performance in decades was on the 24th of October 2021 at home when their arch rivals Liverpool beat them 5 – 0. They have so far bounced back with an emphatic win over Tottenham Hotspurs beating them away by 3 goals to 1.

Liverpool FC is currently in second place in the league table standings and remains the only team that has not been defeated so far. With six winnings and four draws, Liverpool is currently in the second spot with 22 points trailing league leaders Chelsea with just 2 points adrift. Liverpool is a great team bettors could try their luck with. They are currently on form and even performing wonderfully at the Champions League. Various bookmarkers such as the sport betting nz, and several others, have Liverpool as a top contender. Some of them are giving the team odds of 7/2 to win this season’s Premier League. Will they be able win the title this season? Only time will tell of Jurgen Klopp’s side at the end of the 2021-22 season.

There are various outright markets than just the winner of the Premier League to bet on. For instance, rather than just placing a bet on a team to lift the trophy. You could bet for a team to finish in the top four, to get relegated, or even to finish in the top half. What’s more? They are also options for player specific markets which may include the top scorer and the Premier League Player of the year.

Teams staring at possible relegation

The Premier League season 2021-22 is quite competitive although there are teams that haven’t started well at all. In the last season, three teams were relegated to the Championship. The teams were; Sheffield United, West Bromwich United and Fulham.

Norwich, Watford, and Brentford were promoted from the Championship to the Premier League. By the look of things at the table standings and in terms of performance, Norwich seems to be favorites to be relegated this season. They started the title campaign on a low note and they seem to keep on having poor performance so far! Not much is expected to change for them this season as their lackluster performance keeps on plaguing them.

Newcastle is yet another team that is likely to be relegated this season. From the ten matches it has played, it has lost 6 and drawing 4 and having just four points. If things keep on going the way they are, Newcastle will ultimately be relegated to the Championship. Should you opt to place your bets on a team to be relegated, then Newcastle could right be on your list.

Burnley is also in the list of the last three at the bottom of the Premier League Table. Their last match against Brentford has given them some hope of getting out of relegation zone. However, things are still not so rosy for them.
