It’s been a while since Frank Lampard was sacked as Chelsea Head Coach, and Thomas Tuchel was appointed as the next man in charge of the Blues. In recent findings regarding the managerial contract of the Chelsea legend, the club are yet to finish paying the entirety of Lampard’s contract at the club.

A change in policy will now see the Stamford Bridge outfit payout £75,000 per week in an attempt to make up the rest of Lampard’s contract which is rumored to be around £1.8 million.

The catch in the clause included in Lampard’s contract that he has since been released from prevents the payment from going through any further if the former Chelsea boss takes up a new job. Hence, until Lampard takes up a new job as a coach, Chelsea will pay the club legend £75,000 a week to compensate for his unemployment.

The England and Chelsea legend is expected to take a break from football for the time being. He is spending time with his family and has been under unbelievable amounts of pressure in his first few years as a manager, leading Derby County in his first season and managing the club he won the Champions League with for 18 months.
