The 18-year-old phenom Lamine Yamal is officially sidelined for Spain’s 2026 World Cup opener against Cape Verde. Following a hamstring injury, medical staff and Barcelona officials are prioritizing his long-term career over immediate play. While his recovery is outpacing projections, the wonderkid remains a doubt for his second match, targeting a strategic return for the final group stage clash.
