Lakshya Sen produced a remarkable comeback against Kevin Cordon to win his Olympics debut against the 2020 semifinalist. The 22-year-old saved four game points to earn the win with the scoreline reading 21-8, 22-20.
The youngster will play Julien Carraggi of Belgium in his next game in Group L on Monday, 29 July 2024.

The first game went comfortably in favour of the Indian, as he took an 11-2 lead, which ended up being 21-8 to give him a confidence boost. However, Cordon fought back hard in the second game to make things difficult for his debutant opponent.
At 16-20, Sen earned four straight points with the game likely to go in favour of Cordon. From there, he was able to secure the win by claiming the second game as well, with the scoreline reading 22-20.
Now, it remains to be seen how far the youngster can make it after his impressive debut at the grand stage in Paris.
