### Form Guide: Who Holds the Edge?

**Pakistan** live and die by the [penalty corner](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Penalty_corner_(field_hockey)). Sufyan Khan has scored 11 goals in five games, every one from a set piece. They beat Oman 7-2 to reach the last four, though they lost narrowly to Malaysia in the group stage.

### History Favours India

India beat Pakistan 5-3 at the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 on August 19. At the last Asian Games in Hangzhou, they won 10-2, Pakistan’s heaviest defeat in this fixture. The two sides were drawn in different pools this time, so this is their first meeting at the tournament.

The key battle looks simple: India’s penalty corner power against Pakistan’s set-piece threat. Whoever controls that fight could book the final.
