Kyutai just dropped REKI, a 2.4-billion-parameter powerhouse revolutionizing robot manipulation. By prioritizing efficient spatial memory over massive size, REKI maps camera views to actions with surgical precision. Scoring 90.4% on LIBERO-Plus benchmarks, this compact model proves that smaller footprints deliver superior real-world utility. With open-weight access, engineers can now deploy high-performance AI on edge devices without needing massive, expensive hardware infrastructure.
