Kylian Mbappe’s last home game as a PSG player at the Parc de Princes ended in a 3-1 defeat against Toulouse. The forward scored the opening goal for the Parisians in the game, but his side was unable to cope defensively and were deservingly beaten after a sluggish performance.
PSG have already won the Ligue 1 title, and have little left to play for after being eliminated in the semifinals of the Champions League. And in the fallout of the defeat, the attitude from the players was simply not up to the mark.

The 25-year-old’s departure has divided the PSG fanbase, with some praising him for being their all-time top scorer and the club captain. Others, however, were not as find of him and mocked him with boos and jeers at the stadium. In spite of the divided fanbase, a giant Mbappe tifo was unveiled as the teams walked out to the field.
The PSG fans have criticised the striker for not being very effective in big Champions League games. Mbappe’s best attempt at winning the competition came in 2019/20, when the club qualified for the finals – which remains their only appearance at that stage.
So, while Mbappe’s spell at PSG has been very successful on a personal level, the aim of winning the Champions League remains unfulfilled as he leaves the club in a month’s time.
