Zinedine Zidane has publicly expressed his love for Kylian Mbappe.
The French pair of Zinedine Zidane and Kylian Mbappe have been in the highlights for quite some time now. Zinedine Zidane has publicly expressed his love and admiration for current PSG forward Zinedine Zidane.
Monaco President Vadim Vasilyev said that Mbappe dreams of a future move to Real Madrid. He told French outlet Telefoot: “Mbappe has told me of his desire to go to Real Madrid.”
Zidane told at the press when asked about the forward: “You know that I’ve known him for a long time. I’m already in love with him as a person first, because he came here a long time ago for a trial.
He’s the rival now, so I can’t say any more.”
PSG manager Thomas Tuchel said: “Sometimes the players you love the most are the ones you cannot have. But unfortunately for Zidane he is our player, although I’m sure he has a lot of players who he loves in his team.
I don’t know how much Zidane loves Mbappe but he is our most important player and we are very happy that he belongs to us.”
Zidane also said about Mbappe: “Like any good player, I would be happy to coach him. But it’s not the time to talk about that.”
Zidane does not want to discuss Mbappe in detail. But the people around the club all are hoping to see Mbappe in Real Madrid colours very soon. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said: “Zidane is French, so with Mbappe he could do something, no?”
According to a report, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is willing to pay up to €300 million (£258 million) for the player. In response, PSG are understood to be offering an annual package worth around €40 million (£34.4 million) to keep Mbappe in Paris. That figure would put Mbappe on a par with Brazilian star Neymar, who joined PSG from Barcelona in 2017 for a world-record fee but now looks like the less respected figure in the French capital.
Last night, during the Champions League group stage match at the Bernabeu, Zidane was standing on the touchline and Mbappe was on the pitch and suddenly the French pair tussled for the ball after Mbappe’s momentum took him off the pitch. It was Mbappe who got to the ball ahead of his compatriot before the two shared a handshake.
But the encounter has prompted a number of brilliant reactions on social media – with the still image genuinely looking like Zidane was trying to abduct the 19-year old.
It seems that the dream of the Bernabeu crowd will finally come true. The galactico status of Real Madrid will return with Hazard and Mbappe leading the line along with the others. Although, Mbappe is under contract until 2022 with PSG and his signature won’t come cheaply. But Real Madrid have all the means to see this move through.
