Real Madrid have been linked with a €200 million move for Kylian Mbappe for as long as football fans can remember, and the transfer could finally go through this summer if Madrid do indeed break the bank for the player.
However, Mbappe himself has come out and said that he wants to replace Eden Hazard on the left wing rather than play on the right hand side or through the middle. The Frenchman recently had a conversation with Mauricio Pochettino after his appointment where he discussed tactics with the Argentinian and agreed that he wanted to play out through the left.
The reason behind the decision lies not in the revelation that Mbappe wants to “replace” Hazard, but is rather, convinced that his place on the field is on the left hand side.
The youngster’s contract expires in 2022, and PSG are set to do everything in their power to keep their prized asset tied down to the club. However, the world knows that Madrid is always around the corner and Mbappe himself dreams of being one of them.
Considering his phenomenal abilities, it is only fitting that his aspirations be as high as to play for the most valuable club in the world.
Eden Hazard has been struggling ever since he made his dream move from Chelsea to Real Madrid, and fans are now starting to lose their faith in the player. If that isn’t enough, Hazard’s self confidence is nowhere to be found either. It has been a good while since we saw the man in Blue who tore up the Premier League every time he got on the ball.
