The 18-year-old’s incredible performances have caught the attention of Gareth Southgate too, with the England manager handing the midfielder his first national team call up in the recent break. And things are only expected to improve as he gets older.
In spite of having senior players such as Mason Mount, Christian Eriksen and Sofyan Amrabat, Erik Ten Hag has put his faith in Kobbie Mainoo, and it has paid off. Alongside Alejandro Garnacho, he has now emerged as one of the top academy players under the Dutchman and the future of Manchester United.
