Big magic is brewing! Kit Harington officially replaces Nicholas Hoult as Gilderoy Lockhart in HBO’s upcoming *Harry Potter* series. Citing scheduling conflicts, the studio pivoted quickly to the *Game of Thrones* star. A lifelong fan, Harington is ready to bring depth to the vain professor. Despite ongoing production controversies, the series remains locked for its massive Christmas Day 2026 debut.
