Kim Min Jae has settled in very well at Napoli. The central defender was signed as the replacement for Kalidou Koulibaly, who joined Chelsea this summer. The Azzurri paid Turkish side Fenerbahce a sum worth €18 million for the player, and it seems to have been a shrewd investment so far.

The 25-year-old has played six games in the league, and has featured in both of Napoli’s Champions League games against Liverpool and Rangers too.

Kim Min Jae’s release clause details revealed

The South Korean has a release clause in his contract worth €50 million, which will become active for foreign clubs from 2024. Which means that fellow Italian clubs cannot sign the defender for that amount, and they will probably have to sign him for a much higher fee.

Manchester United have been linked with the player, even though it has only been a few months since he joined the club. Since the clause won’t be active in January, Kim Min Jae won’t be going anywhere, and will be staying at Napoli for the foreseeable future.

Luciano Spalletti’s side are currently at the top of the league table, and are unbeaten across all competitions. And Kim Min Jae has had an important part to play in making the defense resolute, whilst the attack has been led by fellow new signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
