Real Sociedad have agreed the signing of Kieran Tierney from Arsenal on a loan deal with no buy option. The left-back is in search of regular game time and also wants to play in the Champions League. Sociedad will be able to offer both to the Scotland international, and he is expected to complete the move soon.
The medical assessment for the transfer has been scheduled, and he will be officially revealed as a new signing for Real Sociedad once he completes the formalities and signs the documents to complete the move.

There is no buy option included in the defender’s contract, but Real Sociedad will cover the entirety of his wages and will also pay a loan fee to Arsenal. His transfer comes at a time when new signing Jurrien Timber is out injured for the foreseeable future.
Moreover, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s fitness has not proved to be most reliable either. Mikel Arteta could be left short for options if both of his regular choices are injured and Kieran Tierney is also not available.
Tierney was once the preferred choice for the left-back position under Mikel Arteta. But, he has recently been replaced by Zinchenko due to the implementation of inverted full-backs by the manager. As a result, he has been left on the bench for the most part.
The player could feature for Sociedad after the international break when they face Real Madrid.
