Since Kia first announced the Kia Seltos Facelift in international countries in April 2023, the Indian launch has been anticipated. According to reports, the tiny SUV reached the 5 lakh sales milestone just a few days ago, and that too in just 46 months. And now, with the launch date guaranteed for July 2023, there is one important update.
There are visible alterations in the front and rear fascias, although the Kia Seltos feel remains. The front grille and headlamps have been modified to provide a more dynamic appearance, which is complemented by a lower bumper. Looking at the car’s loadings, it appears to be the top variant of the Kia Seltos facelift.
It gets a redesigned profile at the back, with new tail lamps that look similar to those found on the Kia Carens. LED strips at the front and back are another feature that may appear on the facelifted SUV. One thing we already know is that it will have a panoramic sunroof this time, as evidenced by previous spy photographs. This is something that Kia Seltos fans have always wished they had on their SUVs.
Kia Seltos was never a feature-lacking vehicle, and that hasn’t changed.
The global variant, which debuted in April, includes AWD and ADAS, with the latter being standard across all configurations. The Indian unit will almost certainly receive the ADAS suite as well. Furthermore, it now includes a wireless charger, ventilated seats, a 3600 surround vision camera, a blind view monitor, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The engine will almost certainly be carried over from the present Kia Seltos. A 1.5-liter NA petrol engine with 115 PS and 144 Nm is now available. A 6-speed manual gearbox and an IVT gearbox are available as gearbox options. The 1.5-liter diesel engine produces 116 PS and 250 Nm of torque. There are two gearbox options: 6-speed iMT and 6-speed AT. However, a new 1.5 L turbo petrol engine could replace the retired 1.4 L turbo petrol engine. This new engine produces around 160 PS and 250 Nm of torque.
