## KHxRK Promo That Has All of Tamil Nadu Talking

Red Giant Movies dropped a striking first-look poster featuring a vintage-style Benz car parked inside a rustic garage — minimalist, atmospheric, and loaded with nostalgia. The tagline — set in a font that wouldn’t look out of place on a Mario Puzo novel — already has fans decoding every visual choice.

The makers confirmed that the next major update would arrive at exactly 12:07 AM on February 21, 2026. That kind of precise timing isn’t accidental — it’s a nod to something, possibly a date of personal significance to the two legends, and fan communities are already deep in the theories.

What’s clear from early reports is that the film will be a **slice-of-life story centered on friendship**, with Rajinikanth and Kamal appearing in a **vintage 1980s aesthetic** for the promo — a deliberate callback to the golden age when both were at the absolute peak of their early careers. ## What’s Next for Both Legends Beyond KHxRK

**Rajinikanth** is separately working on **Jailer 2**, also helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, with a star-studded ensemble including Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vidya Balan, and Mithun Chakraborty. There are unconfirmed reports of a Shah Rukh Khan cameo. A **mid-2026 release** is being targeted. He’s also expected to begin work on **Thalaivar 173**, co-produced by Kamal Haasan’s banner Raaj Kamal Films International.

[Kamal Haasan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamal_Haasan), meanwhile, has his next solo venture **KH237** scheduled to begin filming in April 2026, subject to Tamil Nadu Assembly election timelines. Raaj Kamal Films International co-producing Thalaivar 173 shows that even beyond KHxRK, these two legends have built a genuine creative partnership.
