Keylor Navas has revealed that he will be leaving PSG at the end of the 23/24 season, after five years with the French club. He joined them from Real Madrid in 2019 as a free agent, but has since fallen behind Gigio Donnarumma in the pecking order.

He was one of the main factors behind the club’s progression to the Champions League final in 2019/20, which remains their only appearance in the last round of the tournament. However, they ended up losing 1-0 to Bayern Munich which left their hopes of finally ascending to the pinnacle of Europe incomplete.

“It has been an honor to defend this badge in this incredible stadium,” stated the international ‘Tico’ goalkeeper in the Instagram post where he communicated his decision. “There are still objectives ahead but I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to bid farewell to what has been my home,” added the 37-year-old player.

Navas has played 113 games for the Parisians, keeping 51 clean sheets. The 37-year-old also spent a brief spell on loan at Nottingham Forest, where he played 17 games.

Now, it remains to be seen where the veteran will play next, as he has confirmed that he doesn’t intend to retire just yet.
