Kevin Durant has become a minority shareholder of PSG, as per several reports. The Olympic gold medalist has invested a few million dollars as per ESPN to acquire a stake in the club.

The 34-year-old is an NBA legend and currently plays for Phoenix Suns. He is also a minority shareholder in MLS side Philadelphia Union, and is very passionate about football. He is also a minority owner of the NWSL champions Gotham, in what is a truly remarkable portfolio of teams with the addition of PSG.

Kevin Durant becomes minority shareholder of PSG

Durant acquired the stakes via Arctos Sports Partners, an American investment fund that bought a 12.5% stake in the club in 2023. PSG is currently valued at €4.25 billion. And as part of the acquisition, they aim to boost their presence in the USA with the 2025 Club World Cup and 2026 FIFA World Cup to be held there.

As recently as last week, the basketball icon was seen in Paris, arriving to meet some old friends, players and coaches.

Kevin Durant follows the likes of LeBron James, James Harden, Magic Johnson and Steve Nash to invest in football from basketball.
