The transition is official! As of August 25, 2026, “Kerala” has been legally rebranded as **Keralam**. This historic shift aligns constitutional records with the state’s ancient linguistic heritage and the Chera dynasty’s legacy. Government documents will undergo a full update by 2027. It is more than a name change; it is a bold reclamation of cultural identity for the region.
