The experience will allow new head coach Mikael Stahre to get to know his squad better and have a thorough period of implementing his tactics for the new season. The friendlies against foreign clubs will also provide the team with a different level of competition, which could add to their sharpness ahead of the Durand Cup.
Kerala Blasters are expecting several youngsters from the academy to join them on their tour of Thailand as well, in line with the club’s philosophy of promoting the youth.
The Tuskers will be an interested team to watch this season, as they are now moving on from Ivan Vukomanovic and are entering a new era. The loss of Golden Boot winner Dimitrios Diamantakos also presents a significant challenge for them to overcome as they prepare their squad for the new season.
