Manchester City winger Kayky will be leaving for Portuguese club Pacos de Ferreira for the coming season, on loan. The deal will be a straight loan with no buy option included, as the club sees him as an important part of the future.

The official statement for the move will be made very soon, since the medicals for the loan deal are completed. Kayky will be expected to gain a significant amount of first team experience before heading back to the Etihad at the end of the season.

Kayky to join Pacos de Ferreira on loan

The Brazilian was signed by the Sky Blues in 2021 for a fee worth £9 million. He came through the Fluminense academy, which was the starting point of other Brazilian icons like Marcelo and Fabinho as well.

With the likes of Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Julian Alvarez and Phil Foden available as options on the wings, it will be difficult for Kayky to break into the first team. He has made one appearance for the senior team, and has been featuring in Premier League 2 over the last year.

Based on how he performs during his loan spell, Kayky might be integrated into the first team next season. But for now, the challenge for him will be to perform in Portugal.

City have also signed Sergio Gomez as their new left-back, who could be loaned out to Girona for development as well.
