The quiz show that’s been testing India’s general knowledge for over two decades is coming back — and this time, it wants contestants to slow down before they answer.

## When and Where to Watch Kaun Banega Crorepati 18?

Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18 premieres on August 10, 2026, airing Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television, with episodes also streaming on SonyLIV. Shooting for the new season kicks off on August 1 at a specially designed set in Mumbai’s Film City. Fans following [Amitabh Bachchan’s](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amitabh_Bachchan) return to the host’s chair on [TechnoSports](https://technosports.co.in) know few shows in Indian television have maintained this level of consistency across 18 seasons.

## A Fresh Theme for This Season

This year’s season introduces a new central theme: “Is Baar… Sochna Padega,” shifting the show’s usual emphasis on speed toward thoughtful decision-making. While general knowledge remains at the core of the format, contestants will now be encouraged to carefully weigh each question rather than rushing to lock in an answer, adding a fresh strategic layer to the competition.

## The Promo That Sets the Tone

Sony Entertainment Television recently unveiled a new promo featuring Amitabh Bachchan set on a serene golf course. In it, he draws a parallel between the game of golf and everyday life decisions, making the point that a first instinct isn’t always the right one and that pausing to think things through can lead to better outcomes — a fitting metaphor for the season’s new direction.
