Sometimes the best news is simply a date to look forward to. HYBE x Geffen has shared an update on KATSEYE member Sophia, and it comes with a gentle, hopeful message for the group’s fans: she is coming back, and the timing is set.

## What the Announcement Says?

The company confirmed that Sophia will rejoin KATSEYE for group activities starting the first week of January 2027. Until then, she will keep focusing on her health and well-being, with the company’s full support and resources behind her. That means she will skip the North American leg of *The Wildworld Tour*, as well as promotional activities for the rest of this year.

It is a clear and caring plan. Rather than rushing her back, the team is giving Sophia the space to recover properly and return on her own terms.

## How We Got Here?

Back in August, Sophia stepped away to prioritise her mental health and wellness. As part of that break, she sat out the European leg of the tour. Fans rallied around her from the start, and this latest update shows that the time away has been treated with patience and respect.

## A Thank-You to the Fans

The statement also carried a heartfelt note for KATSEYE’s fandom, who go by EYEKONS. The team thanked them for their steady love, support and understanding toward both Sophia and the group. They said they look forward to celebrating her return together in the new year. That warmth matters, because the way fans respond to moments like this often shapes how comfortable artists feel stepping back and coming home.

## Why This Moment Matters?

Conversations around mental health in the music world have grown louder, and rightly so. Idols and performers work under intense schedules, and taking a break is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of care. Seeing a major company publicly back an artist’s hiatus, give her time and share a thoughtful return plan sets a healthy example for the industry.

For fans, the next few months will look a little different. The group continues its journey without Sophia on the road this year, but the countdown to January is now on. Until then, the kindest thing the community can do is keep sending patience and positivity her way, and respect her privacy while she rests.

## Looking Ahead to 2027

KATSEYE are described as heading into “this next chapter” together in 2027, and having all members back will make it a special one.
