Karan Johar Announces the Return of ‘Koffee with Karan’ for Exciting Season 9 in 2025!
In an interview with Sucharita Tyagi, Karan Johar discussed his plans for the next season of his chat show. He stated that they plan to take a year off and will return in the second half of 2025.
He further explained that he aims to return with a fresh format, as last year’s feedback labeled the rapid-fire segment as the “most boring.”
“I thought, ‘Why am I even doing this?’ There were no good questions. I considered dropping the rapid-fire and keeping the hamper for myself since no one deserved to win it. Now, I’m determined to reinvent ‘Koffee with Karan’ for the ninth season, bringing back all the fun and lively conversations,” he shared.
In the interview, Karan also noted that celebrities are often hesitant to open up as they once did. He referenced the candidness that celebrities like Mahesh Bhatt used to bring to the show.
“Bhatt sahab would still give me those honest answers,” Karan joked. “But I think it would get me into trouble now. People would question why I invited him and didn’t edit his responses.”
