Kajol announces her first web series. The Bollywood romance queen has joined hands for her first web series. She made her debut on the OTT platform named Netflix with the film Tribhanga. Recently, she was in the headlines as she got an invitation to join the Academy Awards Jury. The debut series is going to stream on Disney+Hotstar.
Kajol announces her first web series
On Monday i.e. on 18th July 2022, the streaming platform made the announcement about the first web series of Kajol. The makers have made the announcement about her debut web series along with a teaser of it.
The streaming platform is also going to mark Kajol’s foray into long-form content. The teaser of the show has given a reference to Kajol’s movie with Shah Rukh Khan named Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’s famous “palat scene”. The makers of the series have written “Debut of a Star on #DisneyPlusHotstar”.
The makers of the debut series have shared the teaser and wrote, “Kuch Kuch ho raha hai, tum nahi samjhoge. Can you guess what we’re up to? 🤩”. The makers have also claimed that the fans will see Kajol’s “all-new avatar” in the upcoming Hotstar Specials.
In a statement, she shared her excitement, and the statement reads, “Exploring new formats is always a challenge; but it’s a great thing as I love to take challenges head-on. Being an avid fan of digital series, the concept has always been intriguing; and after following cool shows such as Aarya and Rudra, I knew there was no other platform than Disney+ Hotstar to start my series journey.”
A source shared with the publication, “Kajol will play the role of a new-age mom for one more time, however, this show has a lot more to it than meets the eye. It’s an intense drama with crime, politics, and family all thrown in to make it an engaging watch. It’s a high-concept storyline and has been planned as a multi-season show”.
Most of the Kajol show is still under wraps. The debut web series is going to be directed by The Family Man 2 fame Suparn Varma.
Peeping Moon has shared a report about Kajol’s role in the web series. It has come to know that Kajol is going to play the role of a mother and wife as a female lead “who needs to start her career for the sake of her family”.
