Jyoti Chauhan hails from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh and began her football career at a young age. She has represented her state in the Senior Nationals and has been called for national camps in the past. She also plays for the Indian Women’s League team Gokulam Kerala FC.

In 2022, Jyoti Chauhan, along with her Gokulam Kerala FC teammate Soumya Guguloth, was invited to a two-week trial at Croatia’s top-tier club, ŽNK Dinamo Zagreb. The trial was organized by ‘Women in Sports’ and was attended by Mia Medvedoski, the assistant coach of ŽNK Dinamo Zagreb.

After a successful trial, Jyoti Chauhan and Soumya Guguloth were signed up by ŽNK Dinamo Zagreb for a year-long contract. They became the first overseas recruits for the club’s women’s football team.
