Juventus have agreed a deal with Lille to sign Tiago Djalo on a contract until June 2028. The player will arrive in Turin soon to complete his medical tests, after which he will be announced as a new signing for the Bianconeri. He will be staying in the squad and competing for game time, with the board not looking to send him out on loan.

Lille will receive a transfer fee worth €3.5 million, and will also have a 10% sell-on clause – a part of any future fee Juventus receive for the player.

The 23-year-old centre-back has shown a lot of potential during his time in the French league. And with a move to Juventus, he will have a great opportunity to get game time at a higher level, potentially in the Champions League next season.

This season, he has made 25 appearances for Lille across all competitions, scoring twice in the process. According to DataMB, he is a very frequent forward passer, which could be a great addition to the squad. He also tends to carry the ball into the midfield area with his dribbling skills, allowing the game to progress from the back.

Partnering up with Gleison Bremer who only just extended his contract with Juventus, the pair could form a strong core for years to come. But, Tiago Djalo will also have to compete with the likes of Daniele Rugani and Federico Gatti, both of whom have played regularly under Max Allegri this season.
