This summer’s transfer window won’t go as it should be because of this pandemic, most clubs will be affected financially. So, this year we will see more swap or player plus cash deals and it Barcelona has already got into business.
The Blaugranas have reportedly agreed to a deal involving Nelson Semedo to Juventus in exchange for €25 million plus Miralem Pjanic and Mattia De Sciglio.
This indeed is a complex deal where Barcelona are trying to offload its Portuguese right-back, according to Sport this three players swap deal is close to becoming an actual reality. Semedo’s agent Jorge Mendes has already laid the foundations of what the final agreement of the player’s contract should be.
The 26-year old has a market value of 50 million euros and Barcelona is satisfied with this deal and the players involved in it. As the club is in hunt of money to land the galactico signings like Neymar Jr and Lautaro Martinez, the €25 million is indeed Barca wants.
Nelson Semedo does have the potential but has not been able to impress the board during his presence at the club. So, he has moved on and Barca will replace him with 27-year-old Mattia De Sciglio, who was ta Milan and was brought to Turin for 8.5 million euros.
Barcelona has been a fan of Miralem Pjanic for a long time and tried to land him but they failed and he recently completed 30 years. So entering the prime years of his career it seems unreal for Barca to bring in another player in the already crowded midfield this summer. The deal could be seen be activated after the 2019-20 season ends.
