Paul Pogba is in talks with Juventus over a return this summer. The midfielder is discussing a long-term contract worth €8 million per season, and the negotiations are going ahead positively.
The France international will be leaving Manchester United as a free agent at the end of the month, when his contract officially expires. Juventus currently lead the race to sign their former star player, and are confident of wrapping up the deal soon.
Paul Pogba in talks to sign with Juventus again
The 29-year-old is highly appreciated by the fans and the board at Juventus. As a result, his return to Turin might provide him with the environment he needs to perform at his best consistently once again. But, his arrival would leave Max Allegri with surplus options in midfield.
Adrien Rabiot is the most likely player to leave as a result of Paul Pogba’s arrival. Chelsea are one of the teams in the race to sign him, while a return to PSG could also be on the cards.
Another potential Chelsea transfer target – Matthijs De Ligt is in talks with Juventus to renew his contract. But, he wants his release clause worth €120 million to be lowered in the new deal. De Ligt’s current deal runs until 2024, and the new contract would run until 2025 or 2026. The lowered release clause would allow other clubs to sign him in the near future. Or else, Juventus risk losing him for a cut-price or even for free when his deal runs out.
