Juventus is eyeing a move for AS Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Juventus has recently beaten AS Roma in Serie A clash. Now they want to move for their star player Mkhitaryan. The Armenian’s contract with the Italian side will expire at the end of the season. Mkhitaryan is yet to agree on a new contract with his current club.
After some tough time in Premier League with Manchester United and Arsenal, he finally found his form back at Roma. He joined AS Roma last season on loan. Then he joined the Italian side in a permanent deal at the start of the season.
But his performance caught the eyes of Italian champions. The 32-year-old playmaker has scored nine goals and assisted eight in Serie A as Roma sit fourth in Serie A.
As per reports, AS Roma has a clause to renew Mkhitaryan’s contract for another year automatically. The Armenian can only break the clause if he does that before the 30th of June.
Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola wants his client to earn more than the current £2.64million salary (£51,000-per-week wages) he is on at the Stadio Olimpico. He is trying to generalize the best deal for his client. If Raiola and Mkhitaryan can’t agree on a new contract at Roma, then the Armenian will leave the club and Juventus is ready to offer him a proposal.
Raiola already has two clients Matthijs de Ligt and Federico Bernardeschi at Juventus. With Pogba and Mkhitaryan both linked with Juventus there can be some more next season.
