“The Board of Directors, considering the focus and relevance of the pending legal and technical-accounting issues, have deemed it in the best interest to recommend that Juventus adopt a new Board of Directors to deal with these issues,” the official statement from the Serie A club read.

Juventus confirmed on Tuesday morning that Turin-born Gianluca Ferrero will replace Agnelli.

“[Ferrero] has solid experience and the necessary technical skills, as well as a genuine passion for Juventus, which make him the most suitable person to hold the position,” a statement to the Stock Exchange said.

The Bianconeri published a loss of £220 million last year, their worst record in the history of the club. Moreover, they also exited the Champions League and [dropped down into the Europa League](https://technosports.co.in/2022/10/26/juventus-eliminated-from-22-23-ucl/) this year.

Maurizio Scanavino will take over as general manager, as confirmed by the club. They will fill the remaining positions on a shareholder’s meeting on January 18.
