The wicked coronavirus is showing some really nasty effects in the world currently destroying the football world and in the midst of this Juventus have confirmed that defender Daniele Rugani has tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday night.

Even though the 25-year old centre back is not a regular guy in the first team making just seven appearances in all competitions. The Italian international was on the bench for Juventus couple of days ago when the club beat Inter by 2-0 behind closed doors. 

Already Seria A has been put to hold till April and Rugani’s virus confirmation just worsens the situation and his club now committed to following proper quarantine protocol.

“The footballer Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic,” Juventus said in a club statement.

“Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including the census of those who have had contact with him.”

He sent out a heartfelt message on twitter to his followers stating his condition to be ok and urged his fans to be safe.

“You will have read the news and that’s why I want to reassure all those who are worrying about me, I’m fine,” Rugani tweeted.

“I urge everyone to respect the rules because this virus makes no distinctions! Let’s do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us. #grazie.”

The defender’s situation has caused the entire team to be quarantined, including their superstar player Cristiano Ronaldo superstar has remained in his hometown of Madeira to limit the risk of getting coronavirus with Italy currently in lockdown.
